We are seeking a Scrum Master with a strong background in IT project delivery, ideally with a focus on Finance and Risk. This is a hybrid position based in Toronto, and we are looking for professionals who can seamlessly drive Agile teams, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure timely and quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate all Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos.

• Support the Product Owner with backlog grooming and prioritization to ensure stories are ready for development.

• Act as a liaison between development teams and stakeholders, effectively managing cross-team dependencies and risks.

• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders, backend teams, and Agile Release Trains (ARTs).

• Provide clear, timely communication and status updates to senior management and business units.

• Assist in defining product and release cycles including vision, scope, planning, and delivery alignment.

• Prepare and manage project budgets, schedules, and progress reports.

• Measure and report on project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.

• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

• Proactively identify and manage project risks and escalations.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall IT experience, with 4+ years of relevant experience as a Scrum Master.

• Proven experience managing Finance and Risk-related projects.

• Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe).

• Proficiency with JIRA and Microsoft Project (MPP).

• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Experience managing geographically distributed teams.

• Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills.

• Certification such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, or SAFe.

• Experience participating in Program Increment (PI) planning.

• Experience in Escalation and Risk Management.
