Senior Manager, Financial Program Management

 


The Role

We’re looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Senior Manager with strong financial acumen and PMP certification to join the Technology PMO. This role is pivotal in driving project success through expert financial oversight, planning, and execution within the framework of enterprise project governance, financial controls, and reporting standards.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to ensure projects are financially approved through governance processes, delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business goals.


What you will do:

  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budget tracking for large-scale technology programs.
  • Develop and maintain financial documentation such as cost baselines, funding requests, variance reports, and financial risk logs.
  • Monitor project financial performance and provide timely, accurate reporting to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Track and manage financial change requests, ensuring alignment with approved budgets and funding thresholds.
  • Facilitate financial review meetings, document key decisions, and follow up on financial action items.
  • Support financial aspects of change management and contribute to long-term strategic financial planning.
  • Ensure adherence to internal financial policies, regulatory requirements, and enterprise risk frameworks.
  • Establish and manage effective communication and reporting channels to ensure transparency, alignment, and timely dissemination of financial information across stakeholders.
  • Foster a high-performance, inclusive, and collaborative team culture.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field (MBA or CPA is a plus).
  • 7+ years of experience in project or program management, with a strong focus on financial oversight and reporting.
  • PMP certification is an Asset.
  • Proven experience managing financials for complex technology projects or programs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint; experience with financial tools or ERP systems is an asset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
