Agilus is recruiting for a Materials Engineer in the Oil and Gas Sector in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Materials Engineer responsible for developing equipment strategies using RBI methodologies (API 581 equivalent) for fixed equipment. Evaluate damage mechanisms based on process conditions and inspection history to determine probability of failure and provide recommended mitigating actions. Equipment strategy development is a multi-discipline approach, so interaction with inspections personnel, mechanical engineering, operations and process technical will be required. A typical day: Materials Engineer responsible for developing equipment strategies using RBI methodologies (API 581 equivalent) for fixed equipment. Evaluate damage mechanisms based on process conditions and inspection history to determine probability of failure and provide recommended mitigating actions. Equipment strategy development is a multi-discipline approach, so interaction with inspections personnel, mechanical engineering, operations and process technical will be required Previous use of PESTRA for equipment strategy development is an asset. API 581 RBI assessments done in GE APM may also be an asset to this role and would be considered. Successful candidates will have: Undergraduate degree in Engineering with minimum 5-10 years work experience. Preference given to those with ?10 years direct experience. Professional Engineer (P.Eng) status from APEGA. Manages own time and can address numerous issues simultaneously. Developed interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with broad stakeholders. Good knowledge of applicable Codes, Standards and Regulatory requirements for Alberta pressure equipment, tanks, and piping. Total rewards: Competitive Compensation Mon to Fri - 40 hours per week, onsite role Mildred Lake Plant, Fort McMurray Contract until Dec 31, 2025
