Agilus is recruiting for a Senior Structural Designer in the Engineering Sector in Edmonton, Alberta. The Senior Structural Designer is responsible for producing accurate 3D models and detailed structural drawings, mentoring junior team members, and maintaining drafting standards. This role requires over 10 years of experience in vessel design, strong proficiency in Tekla and AutoCAD, and a solid understanding of structural fabrication. The position also emphasizes fostering a collaborative, safety-focused, and communicative team culture. A typical day: Develop accurate 3D structural models for engineering projects. Produce detailed structural drawings using Tekla software. Review and approve structural drawings provided by vendors. Support the Structural Checker with quality control tasks. Mentor junior and intermediate designers to support team development. Maintain and update structural drawing standards and templates. Recommend improvements to enhance drafting processes and efficiency. Contribute to a positive team culture and assist with additional tasks as needed. Successful candidates will have: Minimum 10 years of experience in vessel design and fabrication. Proficient in the use of Tekla software and AutoCAD (2D and 3D). Strong knowledge of structural fabrication processes. Strong knowledge of structural design. Proficient in the use of Bluebeam Revu. Excellent communications skills.
