As a Commercial Security Guard, there is a high focus on  Scheduled Patrols, excellent report writing  and customer service since you will be working with people all shift, in a Commercial environment.

Responsibilities for Commercial Security Guard

  • Customer service duties like welcome, verify identity, and guide visitorsl
  • Inspect security equipment and report any maintenance needs
  • Respond to incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams
  • Write incident reports and communicate security concerns
  • Building Interior and exterior patrols with G-Track Device
  • Respond to various emergencies, such as fires, medical incidents, or security breaches.
  • Conducting daily functions of the security unit including access control, security escorts, responding to calls for service, report writing/note taking
  • Performing property inspections and enforce property laws, client rules, and other regulations
  • Liaising with visitors, customers. and the general public on a consistent basis
  • Maintaining a positive, productive work environment through positive teamwork

Qualifications for Commercial Security Guard

  • Be authorized to work in Canada
  • Hold a valid Manitoba security license
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience in the security industry (asset)
  • Be able to work Overnight shifts
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment
  • Removal of unauthorized individuals
  • Ability to stand on foot and walk for long periods of time
