The Director, Digital Marketing Enterprise Architect leads the strategic design, integration, and optimization of digital marketing solutions across the enterprise, with emphasis on the Adobe Experience product suite. This role is responsible for ensuring robust, scalable, and secure architectures that drive business value, align with enterprise standards, and support digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture Leadership

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive architecture strategy leveraging Adobe Experience Cloud, AWS Connect, and Salesforce to meet organizational objectives.
  • Interpret and apply enterprise architecture standards, frameworks, and policies to guide business improvement, IT system design, and technology maintenance.
  • Ensure architectural alignment for all digital marketing initiatives and related enterprise projects.

Solution Design & Integration

  • Design scalable, secure, and high-availability solutions that meet business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Ensure seamless integration across Adobe, AWS, Salesforce, and other enterprise platforms to support business operations and digital marketing initiatives.
  • Identify integration patterns and points across the technology stack; simplify and optimize architecture when possible.

Data-Driven Strategy & Innovation

  • Utilize data analytics to evaluate digital marketing effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Implement marketing automation and personalization using Adobe Experience Cloud products.
  • Continuously research and assess emerging digital marketing and data/AI technologies to inform architectural decisions.

Technical Governance & Compliance

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system architectures, integrations, and processes.
  • Ensure adherence to industry regulations, data privacy laws, and organizational policies.
  • Develop and enforce consistent processes for architecture governance, including solution scorecards and quality reviews.
  • Review and recommend exceptions or variances to architectural standards, as needed.

Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with segment IT, digital marketing, global operations, global data and advance analytic teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Consult with project teams to ensure compatibility with existing enterprise infrastructure and services.
  • Provide guidance and leadership in Application Portfolio Management (APM) to align software applications with business goals.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Proactively identify areas for system improvement, implement redundancies, and ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Conduct regular technology stack assessments for performance optimization and compliance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and innovation opportunities across digital marketing architectures.
  • Support the development of reusable software and data delivery components for enterprise-wide adoption.

Reporting & Communication

  • Develop and present reports on system performance, project/program progress, and the organization’s technology landscape to executive stakeholders.
  • Keep technology and service managers apprised of key customer issues, risks, and resolutions.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Identify tools and components from the approved enterprise toolset for projects.
  • Maintain visibility into segment projects and their architectural progress.
  • Collaborate on developing and maintaining enterprise policies, practices, standards, and guidelines for architecture across domains.
  • Perform ongoing architecture quality reviews and provide recommendations for improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Demonstrated strong ability to design and implement complex IT, global operations and digital marketing solutions.
  • Expert level of technical knowledge and understanding of IT architecture, application systems design, and integration with large-scale deployments.
  • Proven experience in operations and digital marketing, with a strong focus on AWS Connect, Salesforce, and the Adobe Experience product suite.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing, Operations contact center systems, and digital marketing technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in large or complex system integration projects
  • Expertise in crafting architecture plans to support business outcomes
  • Commercial awareness to understand market context and pressures, business requirements, competitive positioning, and the market context
  • Deep understanding of existing and emerging technologies and frameworks (e.g., TOGAF), integration architecture leading practices, database systems and how they can be leveraged to bring value to the organization
  • Strong knowledge of API design, integration patterns, and cloud-based architectures
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Relevant certifications in AWS, Salesforce, or Adobe Experience Manager are a plus.
  • ITILv3 certifications are a plus.
  • Strong understanding of relational data structures, theories, principles, and practices is preferred.
  • Knowledge and skills in data warehousing methodologies and tools are preferred.

Salary range is expected to be between

$110,530.00 CAD - $205,270.00 CAD
