The Team

The Application Support team is responsible for providing production support and maintaining applications within Global Payments Technology. Along with the Business Analysts and developer teammates, the vision is to provide technical support and solutions to meet the needs of our customers.

 

The role:

To support the vision, we are seeking a Business Analyst who will play an important part in the team to achieve the desired goals, by contributing technically and analytically to meet the needs of our partners and help find a solution to the issues our customers face. You will be expected to provide recommendations on best practices and enhancements that are in line with the bank’s technology road map. In addition, the candidate will also work towards problem management analysis and application maintenance within the low value payments portfolio.

 

Is this role right for you?

  • Keep current on rapidly changing technological trends, document, self teach new technologies and maintain an understanding of the department’s business and technology strategies. 
  • Independently resolve complex, multi-faceted problems to meet the business needs of the assigned Lines of Business, by applying their financial and technological knowledge to the design of methodologies, models, and/or systems solutions. 
  • Manage multiple small projects and/or lead specific sections of large projects to implement solutions to business problems.  This involves planning and scheduling resources, developing detailed project plans, monitoring progress against planned objectives, financial review, and securing consensus and co-operation from users and senior management.
  • Review and prioritize the problem management backlog, Application Portfolio updates, including tracking the completion of upgrades, maintenance updates such as software currency deliverables.
  • Participate in the systems implementation process by defining business requirements and processes, developing test strategies and test cases, performing testing, defining user procedures and workflows, developing conversion and implementation strategies, verifying conversion, providing user documentation, providing user training, and providing post-implementation support.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • Strong expertise in business process mapping, requirements gathering & documenting and system analysis 
  • Core analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders, translating complex information into clear insights 
  • Ability to conduct gap analysis on different payment standards 
  • Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the bank 
  • Ability to quickly adapt and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment 
  • Ability to proactively identify project risks and contribute to overall project health and success 
  • Proficiency in using Jira / Confluence/ MS Office / Power BI
  • Experience in Banking/Financial industry is a nice-to-have
