As Manager, Business Intelligence, you will play a key role in elevating our Business Intelligence capabilities through robust data infrastructure and highly effective visualizations that transform raw data into actionable business insights. Leveraging your expertise in guided analytics and data management, to establish a centralized reporting data model for Fraud Analytics, to modernize existing dashboards that highlight emerging fraud trends and inform on fraud strategies. Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Work closely with partners from Fraud Analytics to understand business needs, metrics and translate requirements into intuitive dashboard solutions; including innovative solutions to implement predictive analytics visualization and operationalize Proof of Concepts
  • Establish a centralized semantic model that standardizes common dimensions and attributes that are extensible and future proof
  • Design Power BI framework that organizes content for seamless user experience and navigation. Incorporating UI/UX best practice in dashboard design
  • Collaborate with partners in Data Governance, Technology and Architecture to optimize, refine, automate, and scale repeatable queries into decision support Power BI dashboards
  • Adopt industry trends - understanding of emerging trends in data visualization and analytics, ensuring alignment with industry best practices
  • Sustain BI assets after release, prioritize fixes for defects, monitor report usage and identify value-add features/functionalities to improve adoption
  • Leverage Agile methodology for incremental and early delivery of MVP features; Participate in sprint planning, retrospective, as well as daily scrum meeting

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?  We’d love to work with you if you have:    

  • Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM discipline
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Business Intelligence
  • 5+ years of experience using SQL
  • 1+ years of experience with Python scripting
  • 1+ years working with Azure Cloud and data integration tools such as Azure Data Factory, Power BI Dataflows and Power Query
  • 2 years+ developing data visualizations using Power BI
  • 2+ years of BI semantic modeling experience
  • Experience working within a scrum team and an agile environment
  • Knowledge of MS Fabric and Lakehouse an asset
  • Prior experience supporting Fraud strategy reporting an asset
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation & communication skills
  • Proactive, organized, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
