The Global Performance Measurement Team is responsible for deploying, managing and maintaining performance measurement solutions which include Planning and Forecast applications, and Financial Information Systems within Scotiabank catering to various business lines and enterprise finance functions
The Senior Manager leads the FIS team in providing cost-efficient, effective, and timely development (i.e. systems enhancements), user testing, implementation, administration, maintenance, and production support for IT&S Finance systems to meet the financial information management needs of IT&S Finance and the broader IT organization. The incumbent leads the identification, assessment, and evaluation of technology solutions and opportunities to support IT&S Finance's objectives and plays a key project management role in delivering on the team's priorities. The incumbent is responsible for developing and maintaining best practices and procedures and oversees the management and completion of special projects, ad hoc analysis, and reporting requests.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
Strong SQL skills for querying and optimizing relational and OLAP databases (e.g., MS SQL Server, Oracle SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL) with 8-10 years of experience preferred.
5+ years of experience with reporting tools such as Power BI or Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE).
Experience with MS SQL Server (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS) and related applications.
Working knowledge of Financial Management tools (Oracle Hyperion Planning, Oracle Business Intelligence, etc.) and IT Financial Management tools (Apptio, vRealize, etc.) is preferred
Experience in Reporting tools such as Power BI, OBIEE - 5 years
Working knowledge of financial management and reporting processes
Ability to work independently, solving complex issues with creative and innovative solutions.
Finely tuned leadership skills, effective communication abilities (both verbal and written), with a client-focused service orientation
Ability to multi-task and deliver high-quality results under very tight deadlines; continuously assess priorities and business requirements, and balance between regular deliverables and project work
Ability to work effectively in a team environment with peers and superiors across organizational lines, and show negotiating tact and diplomacy in achieving objectives
