Purpose

The primary purpose of the Associate Total Wealth Planner is to provide plan input support to Senior Total Wealth Planners in market and to provide full planning engagements (discovery to delivery) to existing clients of SWM with investable assets of less than a million.
 

Key Accountabilities
 

Support the planning needs of the local Senior Total Wealth Planner by:

  • Inputting data and scenario modelling in the Conquest Planning software
  • Identifying and communicating referral opportunities within each plan 
  • Ensuring that all financial plans assigned are accurate, and completed in a timely manner pursuant to a Service Level Agreement

 

Provide Wealth Planning services directly to clients below the million dollar threshold by:

  • Completing the planning process from discovery to plan presentation 
  • Consulting with members of Team of Specialists to assist in uncovering appropriate strategies as appropriate
  • Working with Total Wealth Manager to promote the benefits of planning 
  • Ensuring that all financial plans assigned are accurate and completed in a timely manner 

 

Proactively support the financial planning needs of advisors/Relationship Managers of Scotia Wealth Management in their local market by:

  • Counselling on complex financial planning inquiries
  • Assisting or completing modelling in Conquest Planning
  • Providing answers on related issues such as tax, estate or retirement planning
  • Coaching on financial plan presentations
  • Helping advisors identify referral opportunities within advisor completed plans 

 

Experience

  1. Strong understanding of the financial planning process including investments, asset protection, retirement, risk management, estate planning and tax planning
  2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  3. Financial planning software experience, Conquest Planning preferred
  4. Experience in client facing roles with the opportunity to provide financial services

 

Education/Skills/Designations

  1. Bilingualism in French and English 
  2. IQPF designation (strong asset)
  3. College or University degree 

 

Work Location: Montreal or Toronto
