We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Director to join our Global Technology Infrastructure, Cybersecurity and Risk Governance Audit Team. This position offers the opportunity to develop and implement audit strategies while collaborating across the organization to deliver high-value audit and advisory services with a focus on the Global Information Risk Management and Global Technology Governance functions. This is a Hybrid opportunity in our Toronto Head Office where you will come into the office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and can work from home on Monday and Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality insights and reports to business partners and stakeholders, ensuring assurance over information and technology risks and controls management, including cybersecurity and critical information technology operations.
  • Analyze and provide recommendations for improving oversight and challenge of Line 2 over Line 1 activities, efficiency and quality in the risks and controls self-assessment (RCSA) process.
  • Manage team operations, reporting cadence, and updates.
  • Supervise the audit team, including direct reports.
  • Oversee the team strategy to meet Audit Services operational targets related to budget, timeline and quality of execution.
  • Lead a center of excellence for specific technology audit domain to provide expertise, leverage cross-segment learnings, and develop a consistent audit strategy and approach.
  • Collaborate with the first and second lines of defense on audit activities, recommendations, Process Risk and Control scope, and RCSAs improvements.
  • Conduct industry benchmarking to enhance audit reports and support the strategic direction of technology audits.
  • Perform integrated and cross-functional audits in partnership with groups across Audit Services, providing comprehensive reporting on risks that could hinder management's objectives.
  • Establish a high level of credibility and build professional relationships with stakeholders responsible for technology across all Segments and Global functions.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in audit or technology, ideally within the financial services industry.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced certifications (CPA, CIA, CISA, CA) will be an asset.
  • Proficiency in auditing technology governance, risk and controls management processes, with a deep understanding of cybersecurity, resiliency and emerging risks (e.g. GenAI) management frameworks.
  • Familiarity with change management principles
  • Strong analytical capabilities with comfort in quantitative and financial analysis.
  • High level of conceptual skills and the ability to operate strategically.
  • Excellent people management and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership team members individually and collectively, securing approval and implementation of recommendations.
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced environment with incomplete information, advancing tasks based on known information, common sense, and asking the right questions.
  • Strong business acumen, customer and market focus, with proven strategic thinking and execution skills.

Salary range is expected to be between

$110,530.00 CAD - $205,270.00 CAD
