As a Survellance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as a security operations centre, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc.

Responsibilities for Health Care Security Guard

• Preventative patrols, including foot and/or mobile patrol of exterior and interior perimeters.
• Access control.
• Visitor and Employee identification.
• Monitoring CCTV systems.
• Responding to intrusion detection.
• Responding as necessary to assist and support Community Peace Officers.
• Physical intervention requirement for safety of patient, staff and /or visitors.
• Maintain a static physical presence in high traffic areas.
• Incident and daily operating reports.
• Respond to all emergencies such as fire, aggression, chemical spills, missing patients, infant abductions, bomb threats, hostage taking, evacuation and other non-clinical emergencies specific to individual facilities.

Qualifications for Health Care Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid security license
• First aid certification 
• Strong report writing skills
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
• Strong proficiency with technology
