Agilus is recruiting for a Shop Technician in the Oil and Gas industry in Sherwood Park, Alberta. Our Sherwood Park client is looking for a Shop/Warehouse Technician to begin working with them immediately in a full-time contract position, providing general warehouse/forklift support at our client’s Sherwood Park warehouse, and being available for fly-in-fly-out project support on sites to support their operations team with general warehouse and shop labour/plant clean-up support. Responsibilities: Maintain inventory in an orderly manner; Pull parts for various project and stage for shipping Load and unload trucks; Receive deliveries; Forklift operation Reconcile returns against original shipping documents; Deliver equipment to sites Restock components upon return from project Perform preventative maintenance of equipment; Inspect equipment before and after each project; Complete minor repair of equipment Be available for fly-in-fly-out project support on sites across Alberta to support the operations team with general warehouse and shop labour/plant clean-up support. Requirements: Forklift operation experience and certification; Experience working in a shop or warehouse environment; Steel toed boots (all other PPE will be provided) Mechanical aptitude and an ability to use hand tools Ability to organize and maintain repair shop to provide for timely and effective repairs of equipment Primary knowledge of the variety of fittings, valves, pipe, other rental equipment, and the fabrication of threaded piping assemblies Ability to learn and understand more extensive knowledge of mechanical equipment and pipe work. Familiar and comfortable working with a computer Valid driver's license; Able to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test and Criminal Check, and provide a Drivers Abstract.
