Rogers is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to support day-to-day operations of multifaceted security systems and solutions adhering to policies, processes, and procedures.
 
What you will be doing:

  • Promptly address the service queue in SNOW (Service Now) and respond to the Service Requests and the Incident Tickets 
  • Interpret solution design and architecture specifications and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility  
  • Contribute to the delivery of security projects and programs  
  • Participate in overnight maintenance windows as scheduled by project or production needs  
  • Take part in an on-call rotation for after-hours support  
  • Contribute to the operational process and procedure development and improvement  
  • Review and update operational documentation as assigned  
  • Support SOC (Security Operations Centre) investigations, help extract relevant data, and provide supporting evidence 

What you will bring:

  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated hands-on experience in operational support of server-based security solutions  
  • Extentsive knowledge of EDR, such as prevention policy, sensor update policy, reports and troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) software at the Enterprise level 
  • Working knowledge of WAF (Web Application Firewall) at the Enterprise level
  • Excellent XLS skills manipulating data and creating reports from multiple data sources  
  • Supporting administrative content which includes access rights, rules, dashboard, capacity, performance monitoring, etc.  
  • Practical application of scripting in Java/Python/PowerShell  
  • Query or data management coding SQL/KQL/XML/Jason  
  • Proven knowledge of navigating Linux/Unix command-line utilities  
  • Working knowledge of the Elastic stack (with focus on Kibana or similar)   

Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:  

  • Experience with presenting technical points to others at the technical, user, and management levels  
  • Team oriented, with extensive experience working in complex technical projects  
  • Self-driven with ability to accept responsibility with minimal supervision  
  • Disciplined with systematic approach to tasks, well organized 
  • Effective communicator with excellent verbal and writing skills 
  • Professional designation such as CISSP, CISM, etc. an asset.

This is a hybrid work position and will require you to be in office three days per week. You can choose which days in office work best for you!
