Job Posting: Data Architect (6-Month Contract)

Location: Hybrid - 2 days in office - Downtown Toronto 
Contract Length: 6 Months

We are actively seeking a Data Architect to design and lead enterprise-level data architecture solutions. In this strategic role, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally to build scalable, secure, and modern data environments that support data warehousing, lakes, and real-time analytics in the cloud.

What You’ll Do:

• Architect end-to-end data platforms across AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Lead data migration, modernization, and legacy system transformation efforts

• Define and enforce enterprise-wide data architecture strategies and best practices

• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and Application Architects to align data solutions with business needs

• Evaluate and implement best-fit tools for data integration, governance, and management

• Mentor technical teams and conduct performance tuning and architecture reviews

What You Bring:

• Proven experience in data architecture and solution design

• Strong knowledge of data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical)

• Hands-on experience with:

  • AWS Redshift and AWS services

  • SQL/NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra)

  • ETL/Data Integration processes

  • Data warehousing concepts and tools

• Excellent communication and leadership skills
