Agilus is recruiting for a Mechanical Estimator in the construction industry in Burlington, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for mechanical scopes for industrial and infrastructure construction projects. A typical day: Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify mechanical scope of work. Quantify materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor requirements for mechanical systems. Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates using estimating software and Excel. Collaborate with the preconstruction, engineering, and project management teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of estimates. Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and walkthroughs as required. Support transition from estimating to execution, including turnover meetings and scope clarification. Successful candidates will have: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. 3+ years of experience in mechanical estimating within the construction industry. Process piping experience Strong understanding of mechanical systems. Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Accubid, Trimble, PlanSwift) and Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
