About This Role

About the Role:

As a Technical Leader – Verification and Validation (V&V) in our Defense & Security (D&S) division, you will be the go-to expert for technical aspects of V&V. You’ll lead the V&V Community of Practice (CoP), mentor test specialists (TE) and military training experts (MTE), drive process harmonization, and support innovation and product development. This role is ideal for a proactive leader with deep technical expertise and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Community Engagement

  • Lead the V&V CoP: organize meetings, guide members (MTEs, TEs), and foster collaboration.
  • Provide technical supervision and mentorship, including 1-on-1 coaching and competency development.
  • Support project teams throughout the lifecycle—monitoring progress, resolving roadblocks, and sharing lessons learned.
  • Represent V&V in cross-functional meetings (with Systems Architects, Chief Engineers, PMs, and customers).
  • Promote V&V visibility and value across the organization and reinforce collaboration with other CoPs.

Standardization & Process Improvement

  • Drive harmonization of V&V processes, templates, and tools across D&S and other CAE business units.
  • Collaborate with other CoPs to align practices and participate in joint workshops.
  • Support quality audits (CMMI, ISO, CAR) and contribute to QTG standards development and review.
  • Manage and improve V&V tools and infrastructure, including automation and innovation initiatives.

Innovation & Product Support

  • Act as a point of contact for new technology integration and product development (e.g., AR/VR, ILE, Prodigy).
  • Consolidate subject matter experts’ (SME) input and ensure alignment with evolving customer and training needs.

Solutions & Estimation

  • Lead estimation activities and delegate requests as needed.
  • Improve estimation processes and templates; provide training and guidance.
  • Represent V&V in solution discussions with engineering and solution teams.
  • Ensure customer training requirements are addressed in all solutions.

Recruitment & Training

  • Support hiring and onboarding of new V&V team members.
  • Manage internal training programs, materials, and progress tracking.

What You Bring:

  • 8+ years of experience in V&V or the D&S industry.
  • Strong understanding of V&V methodologies, simulation systems, and defense programs.
  • Familiarity with CAE’s training solutions and modeling/simulation platforms.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and French.
  • Highly organized, results-driven, and collaborative across global teams.
  • Willingness to support other V&V groups as needed.

CAE offers:

  • Benefits: fully flexible for you to choose what is important
