One of our clients is a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead the development and execution of a strategic project and portfolio management framework. 

This role involves managing a team responsible for overseeing concurrent projects, ensuring effective planning, coordination, and execution using standardized project management methodologies. The Senior Project Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing guidance on delivery models, risk mitigation, and strategic alignment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of a strategic project management framework aligned with industry best practices and the client’s business objectives
  • Provide end-to-end management and coordination of complex project portfolios, incorporating policy analysis, workforce planning, business analytics, and training strategies
  • Oversee change management initiatives by conducting research, developing proposals, and implementing solutions to improve service delivery effectiveness
  • Forecast and allocate resources to support operational needs and strategic project execution
  • Establish a communication strategy to ensure clear, consistent information sharing with internal teams and stakeholders
  • Act as a liaison between the Technology Council, ICT leadership, project committees, and working groups to manage shifting priorities and resolve issues that affect project outcomes
  • Lead budget planning and reporting, including the development of multi-year financial and resource allocation plans
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate timely information flow and decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, policies, collective agreements, and regulatory guidelines
  • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in project management, with at least 5 years in leadership roles overseeing large, complex projects
  • Proven leadership capabilities to engage and develop high-performing teams on mission-critical initiatives
  • Strong strategic thinking and change management expertise in dynamic, enterprise environments
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate technical insights with business strategy, using data to inform decision-making
  • Excellent judgment, analytical skills, and the ability to balance competing priorities
  • Skilled in communicating complex technical concepts in plain, compelling language to executive and non-technical audiences

Preferred:

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification
  • Experience in public sector or enterprise environments is an asset
