Roles and Responsibilities

As an Audit and QA Compliance Analyst supporting our public sector transportation client’s SAP Program, you will:

  • Coordinate and execute quality assurance (QA) strategies and plans to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT solutions.
  • Develop QA plans for SAP-related IT capital projects and operational initiatives.
  • Review project documentation (charters, schedules, architecture, business requirements) to verify alignment and completeness.
  • Identify risks and process improvement opportunities through documentation reviews.
  • Schedule and perform QA activities, including quality audits and inspections, based on project/system complexity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to coordinate QA efforts and ensure conformance with quality requirements.
  • Review solution architecture, system design, and business requirements to ensure they meet defined objectives.
  • Evaluate test strategies and the execution of both functional and non-functional testing.
  • Ensure Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM) include comprehensive and aligned test cases.
  • Validate the resolution of reported defects and verify fixes through re-testing.
  • Confirm that system environments and permissions are correctly configured for deployment.
  • Carry out additional QA-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 8–10 years of experience in quality assurance within IT, with strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle and QA methodologies.
  • Proven experience with SAP or SAP-certified solutions in domains such as HR, Finance, Materials Management, Logistics, or Warehouse Management.
  • Experience with SAP cloud solutions (e.g., SuccessFactors, ARIBA, Workforce) is a strong asset.
  • Expertise in systems architecture, business process analysis, and IT project delivery.
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of testing and documentation techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage QA across multiple projects and communicate risk assessments clearly.
  • Experience in reviewing technical documentation and evaluating the strategic fit of technology solutions.
  • Knowledge of software testing tools and defect tracking methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP systems, Windows/Unix environments, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, MS SQL, and Oracle databases.
  • Familiarity with Project Management Methodology, Enterprise Architecture, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Ability to lead teams and provide technical consultation and guidance.
  • Knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and accessibility standards (AODA).
  • Experience in public service and/or transit sectors.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience.


Education

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.


Nice-to-Haves

  • SAP certifications.
  • QA certifications and/or ITIL certification.
  • CBAP or equivalent certification.
  • Familiarity with QA frameworks such as ITIL or ISO 9000 is considered an asset.
