We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our Global Operations Finance team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting decision-making by providing actionable insights across OPEX, CAPEX, and headcount planning. You will work closely with regional and global stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy, identify cost drivers, and support strategic initiatives that drive operational efficiency. Additionally, this role will help modernize and automate existing manual processes, including reporting and forecasting. You will be instrumental in leveraging AI and automation tools to streamline data workflows and improve productivity across the Ops FP&A function. Responsibilities Analyze and manage global operations financials, including operating expenses (OPEX), capital expenditures (CAPEX), and headcount Ensure data accuracy and consistency across various financial systems and reporting platforms Maintain reporting hierarchies; ensure they are complete and accurately represent the business structures Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand operational drivers and financial impacts to deliver data-driven recommendations Develop metrics to measure process effectiveness, enable ongoing metrics measurement and reporting, conduct periodic reviews with stakeholders and use metrics to drive operational efficiencies Develop and automate financial models, dashboards, and reporting packages to improve efficiency and visibility Drive the adoption of RPA, AI tools and intelligent automation to reduce manual tasks and enhance decision support Represent Global Ops FP&A function on cross functional IT projects – Lead FP&A work stream, develop user requirements collaborating with stakeholders, perform business testing, develop operating procedures, and ensure realization of business value Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or related field; MBA, MS Information Systems, MS Financial Analytics is a plus 3+ years of relevant FP&A experience, ideally in a global and operations-focused environment Strong financial modeling and analytical skills; proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Hyperion, SAP, Anaplan) Experience with automation tools (e.g., RPA, Alteryx, Python, AI platforms) is a strong plus Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to partner effectively with cross-functional and international teams to drive collaboration and achieve strategic objectives Equinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.  If you are a qualified candidate and need assistance or an accommodation, please let us know by completing this form.
