Agilus is recruiting for multiple Civil Estimators in the Construction industry in Burlington, Ontario. This role will be responsible for managing the estimating process for assigned projects, while working closely with the owner, design consultant and project manager to prepare cost plans, undertake value engineering, complete cost saving exercises and develop the project budget. A typical day: Produces detailed quantity take-off and prices labour, material and equipment portions of estimates Develops and maintains relationships with suppliers/subcontractors Manages the estimating process, including site conditions, safety requirements, solicit suppliers and subcontractors, interprets project drawings and specifications, prepares quantity surveys, pricing of estimates, and prepares pricing of General & Special Conditions cost estimate Work with the owner and owner’s consultants to perform constructability reviews Directs and monitors progress of estimators during bid process Generates bid packages for specific scopes of work Maintains confidentiality of subcontractor/supplier bid pricing Successful candidates will have: Post-secondary degree/diploma in Civil, Construction Management or related field 5 -10 years of experience in Civil estimation Broad range of past experience working in multiple different contract model environments including but not limited to design-bid-build, progressive design-build and other integrated forms of agreement C.E.T, Gold Seal Certification in Estimating and/or Project Management is preferred Total rewards: Attractive compensation package and Profit sharing program Health, dental, vision and comprehensive life insurance Personalized career development and training programs to meet employee goals Paid time off, including sick days, vacation and holidays Continuing education reimbursement
