Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the organization’s financial operations and reporting. This leadership role involves managing the full spectrum of accounting activities, financial planning, payroll, and compliance, while supporting strategic decision-making at the executive level. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in accounting standards, team leadership, and financial process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, revenue tracking, accruals, and period-end closing activities
  • Coordinate and produce timely and accurate monthly financial statements, performance reports, and variance analyses
  • Develop, implement, and monitor annual budgets and rolling forecasts, providing actionable insights to meet financial goals
  • Prepare executive-level financial reports to support strategic planning and business decisions
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to support audit preparation and annual filings
  • Provide direction and mentorship to the finance team, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Monitor cash flow and prepare cash projections to ensure effective liquidity management
  • Drive the monthly forecasting process by integrating actuals with future projections
  • Oversee payroll review and approval to ensure compliance and accuracy alongside billing

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation is strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including at least 2 years in a leadership or Controller role
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial reporting tools
  • Hands-on experience with accounting systems; QuickBooks familiarity is a plus
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a team-oriented mindset
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight timelines
