Reporting to the General Manager of the Complex Humaniti Montréal, our Operations Director is responsible for ensuring smooth and productive operations of the complex (Hotel and Residential), in alignment with the company's philosophy and internal policies.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operations Management
– Coordinate teams in daily operational management;
– Ensure smooth communication across departments;
– Collaborate with other services within the establishment;
– Establish, apply, and enforce policies, procedures, and high standards set by the company;
– Oversee the daily operations of the following departments:
Housekeeping
Front Desk
Residential Services
Maintenance
Banquet Services
– Manage various external companies working with the complex;
– Ensure service fluidity for tenants, owners, hotel guests, and business partners within the complex;
– Ensure smooth service flow and compliance with Marriott standards in coordination with our restaurant partner;
– Act as the point of contact for the complex's commercial tenants;
– Manage the condominium association, including monthly meetings and general assemblies.
Human Resources Management
– Recruitment process, training, task allocation, scheduling, supervision, performance evaluations, conflict resolution;
– Foster a harmonious and stimulating work culture.
Financial Resource Management
– Manage materials allocated to your department;
– Ensure optimal use of all facilities and maximize profitability;
– Responsible for preparing and adhering to the annual operational budgets;
– Responsible for monthly operations forecasting;
Manage departmental performance
– Negotiate contracts with suppliers and monitor service delivery.
Customer Service Management
– Equip and position teams to be leaders in service delivery, handle complaints;
– Ensure compliance with Marriott customer service standards;
– Ensure achievement of targets (GSS, ESS, BSA, ITR, etc.).
Strategic Management
– Participate in and analyze strategies to enhance the company’s efficiency and sustainability in collaboration with upper management.
– Strong customer service skills and attention to detail;
– Team spirit, autonomy, dynamism, interpersonal skills, honesty, versatility, initiative, organizational skills, etc.;
– Knowledge of basic management principles and relevant IT systems (PMS, POS, Microsoft Office);
– Knowledge and application of labor standards and basic occupational health and safety principles;
– Strong written and verbal communication skills;
– Ability to manage multiple teams;
– Fluency in English and French, spoken, read, and written;
– Minimum of five (5) years of management experience in the hospitality sector;
– Broad knowledge of human resources management and accounting;
– Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management (an asset);
– Knowledge in property and condominium management (an asset);
– Flexibility with work shifts (weekdays and weekends).
