Our client is seeking an HR Manager to join their team on a permanent basis in Mississauga. The Human Resources Manager provides comprehensive HR support and consulting services to multiple Distribution Centers, acting as the primary HR contact and advisor for management and employees. You will implement and optimize best HR practices to enhance the employee and candidate experience, supporting management in achieving business goals and operational objectives while ensuring legal compliance. Collaboration with HR peers on regional and national strategies and projects is essential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support management in executing business strategies and operational performance to align HR actions with business objectives.
  • Partner with site leadership to foster a positive workplace environment and enhance employee engagement.
  • Provide coaching and counseling to managers on HR, performance management, and transformation.
  • Establish and maintain engaging relationships with employees.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for employee issues and concerns.
  • Analyze trends and metrics related to assigned business groups, using data to inform decisions and interventions.
  • Lead new business implementations and transitions from an HR perspective.
  • Attend meetings and present on HR topics as required.
  • Offer daily advice and guidance to ensure fair and consistent employment practices and compliance with legislation.
  • Conduct investigations and develop solutions for employee complaints or claims.
  • Oversee a performance appraisal system that promotes high performance.
  • Maintain flexibility, sound judgment, and confidentiality.


Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Certification as a Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or working toward CHRP/CHRL designation is an asset.
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience as a business partner.
  • Experience with 3PL and/or warehouse operations in local and remote markets.
  • Familiarity with matrix reporting relationships and HR subject matter expertise.
  • Advanced knowledge of employment legislation and workplace investigations.
  • Strong collaboration and consultative skills, with the ability to influence and build strategic relationships.
  • Commitment to service excellence with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
  • Experience in implementing HR programs to achieve operational and workforce goals.
  • Self-directed learner with decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexibility and tolerance for ambiguity in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.
