Salary: $71,925.00 CAD - $119,875.00 CAD
 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to join our Group Benefits Member Personalization team!

In this role, you will be responsible for digging deep into data to uncover business issues and drive improvements. You will become a subject matter expert, playing a critical role in understanding our current business environment and optimizing performance through data-driven insights. The ideal candidate will be proactive, curious, and eager to make a significant impact on our business strategies and outcomes.

*This is a hybrid opportunity in our Toronto or Waterloo office locations (3 days in office).

Position Responsibilities

  • Data Exploration and Business Insight

    • Conduct thorough investigations and in-depth research to understand current business issues and challenges.

    • Analyze datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and areas of concern.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to become a subject matter expert on business processes and systems.

    • Document and communicate findings to stakeholders to drive informed decision-making.

  • Performance Analysis and Reporting

    • Develop and maintain comprehensive reports to track ongoing performance metrics and KPIs.

    • Conduct regular analyses to identify breakages or inefficiencies in digital communication processes.

    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimize business performance and enhance digital communication strategies.

    • Work closely with technical teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity in reporting.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a similar role.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.

  • Experience with Analytics tools like Adobe Analytics, Power BI or equivalent.

  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

  • Self-starter who can proactively work with stakeholders to navigate a complex environment.

  • Experience with digital health businesses, services, platforms and / or assets.

  • Strong ability to rapidly gather, structure, and present data analysis with experience working with data science teams to derive actionable results.

  • Strong communication skills, including ability to translate complex technical issues into fundamental concepts.

  • Strong relationship-building skills to build effective working relationships with Segment and business unit leaders.

  • Highly developed financial acumen and business orientation.

  • Ability to influence across all lines of business and at all levels within the Company.

  • Adaptability to respond to changing priorities.

  • Flexibility to manage multiple and competing priorities.

  • Work well under pressure.

  • High level of self-motivation and keen sense of 'owning' and delivering on project deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of Group Benefits experience is an asset.

  • University degree. MBA or other business-oriented education would be an asset.

Working Arrangement

Salary range is expected to be between

$71,925.00 CAD - $119,875.00 CAD
