Technical Architect – MVP Solution Architecture
The Technical architect will collaborate closely with a cross-functional team comprising a Program Lead, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Application Architect, and Software Developers. This role requires providing strategic direction, architectural expertise, and hands-on technical leadership to design and implement the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) solution.
Key Responsibilities:
The Technical Consultant will be responsible for delivering the following services:
- Lead the architectural design and direction for the MVP and supporting technologies, including platforms for data access, data management, and storage.
- Develop and document key architectural artifacts such as logical and physical architecture diagrams.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the software development team throughout the MVP lifecycle.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure alignment of the solution with business objectives.
- Conduct technical assessments in collaboration with participating jurisdictions to gather insight and inform design.
- Evaluate, research, and recommend appropriate technologies and tools for the MVP solution.
- Contribute strategic guidance on the evolution of data access, data management, and data exchange capabilities.
- Coordinate with the Information Security team to ensure compliance with security standards and policies.
- Provide regular updates and briefings to the Project Manager and executive team on project status, challenges, and risks.
Deliverables:
- Technical and Security Assessment: Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the technical and security requirements related to data access, management, and storage to support the MVP solution.
- Jurisdictional Support: Provide ongoing technical support to the participating jurisdictions to ensure their systems are prepared for data integration and participation in the MVP.
- MVP Solution Development: Lead the design and development of a fully functional MVP solution that meets both technical and business requirements.
- Secure Data Integration: Establish secure methods for accessing and storing data from participating jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with all privacy and security protocols.
- Technical Evaluation Report: Prepare a detailed technical report evaluating the results and scalability of the MVP solution, including performance outcomes and architectural observations.
- Summary and Recommendations: Contribute to the final Summary and Recommendations Report by providing a comprehensive technical section. This will include lessons learned, analysis of the MVP’s effectiveness, recommendations for future data access and exchange models, as well as considerations around privacy, security, and potential expansion.
Qualifications and Experience:
- University degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum two large-scale (multi-million dollar) custom software projects completed as a Technical Architect or Technical Lead, preferably in healthcare or data-intensive environments.
- Demonstrated experience in healthcare data integration or cross-jurisdictional data exchange projects.
- Strong analytical and design skills, with a solid grasp of cloud and distributed computing, microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and design patterns.
- Proficiency with architecture modeling tools such as Enterprise Architect or Erwin.
- Experience with a variety of system integration methods and paradigms.
- Advanced knowledge of AWS technologies and cloud services.
