Our client is looking for a talented and experienced Business System Analyst with a strong IT background to contribute to the success of a leading retail company. In this role, you'll be an ambassador for technical change and help drive value through data and applications. This position is based at the client's head office in Port Coquitlam, BC, and requires on-site work 5 days per week. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
Responsibilities:
Identify, plan, develop, implement, and be an ambassador for technical change.
Play a crucial role in bridging the gap between both our supply chain and retail operations teams and the technology systems that help drive their business.
Collaborate with multiple business functions and IT teams to develop and implement solutions that improve operational efficiency.
Integrate and support best-in-class enterprise-wide applications.
Help lead, plan, and coordinate the integration and implementation of enhancements for various software applications.
Be responsible for analyzing data, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that enhance our retail operations.
Conduct thorough business process analysis to identify areas for improvement and technological investment.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track KPIs and performance metrics.
Conduct systems analysis and design activities that deliver technical solutions to business opportunities.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations for various business partners that will drive our retail strategies and contribute to our company’s continued success.
Evaluate and recommend IT systems, tools, and software that align with company goals and objectives.
Prepare plans and delivery dates for work packages while managing all tasks associated with delivery.
Qualifications:
A diploma/degree in both computer science and business studies.
5+ years of professional development experience within an enterprise environment.
Strong communication skills that enable IT to collaborate with business partners on new initiatives.
Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, and data visualization software like PowerBI, Tableau, or Qlik.
Experience in a large-scale retail IT environment.
Extensive knowledge and experience of IT systems, relational databases, and data analysis.
The ability to excel at identifying and understanding business problems with a proven track record of translating those problems into requirements for working solutions.
A demonstrated history of success in problem-solving complex issues with a strong attention to detail.
A background in making critical and successful decisions under pressure.
Knowledge of the retail industry.
