At Manulife, our Global Retirement Marketing Team is accountable for developing marketing strategies to help people save and invest to live their best life, wherever they are on their financial journey.
As a Marketing Manager, you will lead and support pivotal digital initiatives related to brand and marketing strategy, marketing operational efficiency, thought leadership, content management, campaigns and marketing-related event activity. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, North America, this role is integral to the ongoing development and management of digital marketing initiatives to support the North American retirement business.
Position Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy
Develop B2C marketing initiatives that help drive better retirement outcomes leveraging a multi-channel digital-first approach, increasing brand awareness, educate and engage members of group retirement plans.
Support the content marketing calendar and corresponding amplification through relevant channels.
Drive awareness, consideration and acquisition through various digital channels, including email marketing, thought leadership content and social media.
Create and execute marketing campaigns and initiatives by leading cross-functional teams including creative, compliance, editorial, digital marketing, translation, product and both external and internal communications.
Operational Efficiency
Support and readily adapt to marketing modernization and transformation efforts by implementing processes that unlock efficiencies across the entire marketing organization with a digital-first mentality.
Seek and implement innovative and automated processes to enable marketing to focus on high value functions while identifying and showcasing automation savings to the organization.
Oversee the creation and distribution of engaging content and marketing materials.
Drive continuous improvement through testing, analysis, reviewing customer feedback and optimization of marketing tactics.
Digital Strategy and governance
Maintain marketing collateral and related digital information on retirement websites, social media, and internal and external collaborative platforms (i.e. SharePoint, Seismic, JIRA).
Contribute to the formulation of timely reports with relevant analysis based on data from various sources, including digital marketing campaigns.
Utilize marketing automation, marketing technology, and tools, to create campaigns and track outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
3-5+ years of marketing experience
Strong organizational and project management skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and ever-changing deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Bilingual (French & English) is required - The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of the financial services industry and group retirement market is a plus.
Proficiency in digital channels and platforms, comfortable with marketing automation tools, able to leverage digital tools and data to drive / optimize compelling marketing campaigns
Comfortable in both challenging technical and interpersonal environments
Strong negotiating skills & self-motivated/ambitious
Detail-oriented with a critical eye for quality.
Results-oriented and execution-focused within a fast-paced environment
Ability to blend confidence with tact, liaising directly with colleagues throughout the organization to get what’s needed to get the job done.
Adaptive to change, both on a micro scale in terms of conflicting project requests and priorities as well as larger scale changes in an ever-shifting industry landscape.
Knowledge of progressive technology platforms such as Adobe Journey Optimizer, Workfront, Seismic, DOMO Analytics, Cvent, and Microsoft suite is an asset.

Salary range is expected to be between
