Salary: $75,880.00 CAD - $140,920.00 CAD
 

The SCRUM Lead will play a key role in helping us breakdown our tasks on the Global Design System workstream, using appropriate methods to ensure we’re consistently delivering the most value we can and maintaining a good flow of completed work product. The role will have a mix of leading IT and Design deliverables and handling business partners. You will partner closely with design, engineering, and product teams across regions to define the tasks for product, designers and engineers. 

 

The ideal successful candidate for the SCRUM Lead role on the Global Design System team is a collaborative and adaptive leader with deep expertise in Agile methodologies, exceptional facilitation and communication skills, and a proven ability to foster cross-functional alignment, remove impediments, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced, digital-centric environment. 

 

Position Responsibilities:   

 

  • Help the team self-organize around tools, artifacts and ceremonies that best enables collaboration and communication 

  • Actively manage backlogs, Kanban boards, scrum-of-scrum meetings, daily stand-ups etc. 

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; able to effectively articulate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes 

  • Good analytical skills, copes with situations through deliberate analysis and planning 

  • Real passion for driving teams towards high performance and a deep pride in quality craftsmanship that delights stakeholders 

  • Excellent mentorship and leadership skills; ability to communicate technical details to wider audience in business/user terms 

  • A coach, facilitator and leader who can help improve the delivery performance 

  • Fosters team development and capability 

  • Reviewing, advising, and providing feedback on strategy produced within and outside the team 

  • Balance personal ownership and accountability of immediate responsibilities with the flexibility and drive to jump in and fill gaps across the team as they arise 

 

Required Qualifications:  

 

  • 7+ years of experience as a scrum master 

  • Industry-accepted agile certifications in agile coaching / scrum master 

  • Bachelor’s degree 

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

 

  • Expert experience in an agile environment using scrum framework 

  • Expert knowledge of JIRA & Confluence tools 

  • Strong detail orientation 

  • Good judgment and the ability to handle high pressure situations 

  • Highly adaptable to a changing environment 

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills 

  • Fosters team development and capability 

  • Expert ability to devise, develop and apply innovative technology to solutions that would benefit our clients. 

  • Refined presentation and communication skills and expertise interfacing and communicating effectively with both engineers and executives. 

  • Desire and ability to understand diverse business domains and develop relevant approaches that meet the current and anticipated business needs across a broad set of partners. 

  • Understanding of field of Web Design and field of Engineering/Development 

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Serve as a primary design system advocate, navigating organizational complexity to influence decision-making at all levels. 

  • Partner with regional design leads to ensure the system meets regional needs while maintaining overall consistency. 

  • Foster collaboration between design, engineering, and product management teams, ensuring smooth integration into digital workflows. 

  • Build and nurture a global design system community, mentoring teams on best practices and fostering a culture of design system ownership.

Salary range is expected to be between

$75,880.00 CAD - $140,920.00 CAD
