Agilus is recruiting for a Cost Control Specialist in the Utilities Industry in a hybrid work environment in Toronto, Ontario.
The cost control clerk is responsible to facilitate and support the quality and timely attestation of field tickets (eFT/LEMS), reconcile invoices and book accruals as directed by the project controller. In this role the CCC will interface with project controls, project managers, construction managers, subject matter experts, finance teams, supply chain, and suppliers.
A typical day:
Monitor and control project costs to ensure compliance with budget and schedule objectives
Track and manage supplier and contractor invoices; ensure timely processing, approvals, and resolution of discrepancies
Prepare and manage project requisitions using SAP Project Systems
Support monthly cost reporting and forecasting activities in coordination with project controls, finance, and project management teams
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and the Project Document Control Processes and Procedures
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Help maintain purchase orders (POs)
Successful candidates will have:
Experience in Project Cost Control, including invoice reconciliation, accruals, and forecasting
Familiarity with field ticketing systems (eFT/LEMS) and supplier invoice processes
Strong understanding of legal agreements and contracts between large parties
Proficiency in SAP Project Systems, Microsoft SharePoint, and Fermax
Background in document control and knowledge of project document management procedures
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently as a self-starter and manage multiple priorities
Industry experience in hydroelectric, power generation, natural gas, or mining is a strong asset
