We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver multiple IT initiatives for a well-established post-secondary institution. Working closely with IT leadership and cross-functional teams, you will ensure the successful planning, execution, and completion of internal projects in alignment with PMO standards. This is a hybrid role requiring a mix of remote work and on-site presence in Ottawa.
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with sponsors and stakeholders.
Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and risk registers.
Oversee full project lifecycle from initiation through to delivery, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
Lead cross-functional project teams and facilitate regular stakeholder communication.
Monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure appropriate change management practices are applied.
Produce and present regular status reports, steering committee updates, and business case documentation.
Ensure the use of appropriate project management methodologies, tools, and standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
PMP certification (or equivalent experience in project delivery).
8–10 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years leading large-scale IT projects.
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Strong skills in risk management, resource planning, and stakeholder engagement.
Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration capabilities.
Experience working in a structured PMO environment is an asset.
