The Terrestrial Invasive Species and Feral Horse Management Coordinator (TISC) is a subject matter expert who plays a key strategic and operational leadership role within the Rangeland Stewardship and Progams Unit. Reporting to the Rangeland Stewardship and Programs Manager and supporting the Director of Rangeland Stewardship and Land Use Policy, the TISC is responsible for leading the delivery, coordination, and stakeholder engagement for both the Terrestrial Invasive Species Program and the Feral Horse Management Framework. This position operates with a high level of autonomy and contributes to cross-ministry collaboration and strategic initiatives to support the Division’s and Department’s overall mandate.

Master’s degree in Agriculture or Science field with appropriate specialization plus a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience.
Eligibility for membership with the Alberta Institute of Agrologists (AIA) is required.
Equivalency: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Science field with appropriate specialization, combined with seven (7) years of senior-level, directly related experience in the specialty area.

This is a full-time, permanent position located in Red Deer. Other locations including Pincher Creek, Lethbridge or Edmonton may be considered.
Monday to Friday, 7.25 hours per day, totaling 36.25 hours per week.
