As a Railway Station Security Guard, there is a high focus on customer service , Patrolling and  De-escalation of situations ,since you will be working with people all shift, in Railway Station environment

Responsibilities for Railway Station Security Guard

  • Conduct exterior and interior patrols of the premises.
  • Monitor and manage access to the site.
  • Act promptly and appropriately in emergency situations.
  • Interact with individuals in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Be a visible deterrent to vagrancy, vandalism, and loitering by staying vigilant and patrolling key areas regularly.
  • Maintain a friendly but professional demeanor at all times.
  • Perform any other duties as required.
  • Customer service duties like welcome, verify identity, and guide visitors
  • Manage access control
  • Perform regular patrols to identify potential risks
  • Inspect security equipment and report any maintenance needs
  • Respond to incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams
  • Answer questions in person or by phone
  • Write incident reports and communicate security concerns

Qualifications for Railway Station Security Guard

  • Be authorized to work in Canada
  • Hold a valid Manitoba security license
  • First aid certification an asset
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
  • Proficient in English (both written and spoken)
  • High School Education or equivalent
  • Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Excellent Computer Skills for reporting and monitoring
