Summary of responsibilities:
The Advisor, Learning is responsible for the implementation of training projects within the Training Development and Certification group by coordinating all the elements of the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation) with the responsible team members and ensuring that each is planned for and completed within the established standards. They provide support to ensure the integrity of the National Training and Certification Program (NTCP) and coordinate key files with respect to the maintenance of the program and enhancements or initiatives that may impact it. The Advisor, Learning performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.
What you need to succeed
To qualify for the position, you must have:
Graduation from a recognized university or college with a specialization in Education, Psychology, Business Administration, Social Sciences or any other specialization relevant to the duties of the position.
A minimum of four (4) years of experience planning, organizing and coordinating program implementation, application and effectiveness.
A minimum of four (4) years of experience writing briefing materials, letters, reports and strategic documents.
Experience developing and maintaining policies and procedures.
Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.
Knowledge of Excel, Word and Power point.

Valuable skills include:
Experience working in an adult learning environment.
Knowledge of CATSA’s priorities and mandate, as well as legislation impacting CATSA activities.
Knowledge of software, such as MS Project and ASANA.
Understanding of Learning Management Systems.
Knowledge of the ADDIE model.
Specific work requirements:
Ability to work overtime as required;
Ability to travel as required
Language Profile: English essential;
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; and
Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
