Senior Programmer/Analyst 

Location: Onsite (Ottawa, National Capital Region)
Duration: 1 year (with 3 optional 1-year extensions)
Security Clearance: Top Secret

Altis Technology is seeking Senior Programmers for a contract opportunity with one of our Federal Government Clients. 

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure, scalable web applications using Java, Spring, Hibernate, Angular, JavaScript

• Perform unit, integration, and regression testing with tools like JUnit, Mockito, PowerMock

• Optimize application performance (CPU/memory), ensure 99.99% availability for >100 users

• Collaborate on solution architecture, SDLC practices, and CI/CD pipelines

• Contribute to DevOps, cloud migration, container deployment, and documentation

Mandatory Qualifications

• Degree/diploma in Computer Science/IT or 12+ years of experience as a programmer analyst

• 10+ years’ experience in:

  • Java-based web development with Spring, Hibernate, Angular, JavaScript

  • Object-oriented design in multi-tier environments

Preferred Assets (Rated Criteria)

• 5+ years of:

  • Java development using Eclipse, IntelliJ, or VSCode

  • Unit testing with frameworks like JUnit

  • CI/CD and DevOps tools

• 3+ years in:

  • Building high-availability systems (>100 concurrent users)

  • Frontend frameworks (Angular/React/Vue.js)

  • Supporting containerized application deployments
