We are seeking an experienced Project Management Specialist to lead and support the successful delivery of strategic IT initiatives. In this role, you will oversee the full project lifecycle—from solution selection to implementation and operational hand-off—while collaborating with stakeholders across various departments. This is a hybrid opportunity requiring periodic onsite presence in Ottawa.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead medium-to-large IT projects using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage project scope, schedules, and deliverables
Track and communicate project progress, risks, and interdependencies
Coordinate with resource managers to secure and allocate appropriate project resources
Facilitate project documentation, reporting, and decision tracking
Assist in developing executive briefings, charts, and status updates
Act as a central point of contact for project stakeholders and subject matter experts
Promote project management best practices and mentor team members as required
Required Qualifications:
Degree or diploma in IT, business, or related field
5+ years of hands-on experience in IT environments (e.g., software, infrastructure, or databases)
5+ years managing medium-to-large scale projects
Proven experience using Agile or hybrid project delivery models
Strong communication skills with the ability to interface across all organizational levels
Experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives and navigating cross-team dependencies
Preferred Certifications:
PMP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent
Scrum Master Certification
