We are seeking a Tableau Developer for one of our clients currently modernizing their enterprise data reporting infrastructure. This role will support the build-out of scalable, user-friendly BI dashboards that translate complex data into actionable insights for internal stakeholders. You will work closely with system architects, data engineers, and analysts to ensure alignment between business goals and the reporting layer.

This is a hands-on role requiring deep expertise in Tableau dashboard creation, performance optimization, and strong working knowledge of big data tools like Hive and Spark. The right candidate will be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, collaborative, and highly data-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and engineers to translate business requirements into interactive Tableau dashboards.

• Design and develop data models and datasets optimized for visual performance and scalability.

• Integrate and manipulate large datasets using Hive, Spark, and SQL to support report development.

• Work with MongoDB and Spark to query and transform nested JSON data structures.

• Perform functional and performance testing of Tableau reports to ensure they meet success criteria.

• Maintain version control and code reviews using Git and Gerrit.

• Document design decisions, data models, and processes in Confluence or equivalent.

• Adhere to project timelines and communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Tableau development and BI reporting.

• Strong knowledge of SQL, with demonstrated experience in Hive and Spark environments.

• Experience working with MongoDB and querying complex JSON data in Spark.

• Proficiency in building performant data models and data sources for Tableau dashboards.

• Working knowledge of Git and code collaboration tools such as Gerrit.

• Strong communication skills, with an ability to simplify complex data to non-technical audiences.

• Ability to self-direct, manage priorities, and deliver under minimal supervision.
