As a Security Guard you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all staff and patrons, have excellent communication skills and attention to detail, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Security Patrols: Conduct Access Control duties of facilities. Routine foot patrols when required.
  • Adhering to the code of conduct set out by the client and site standing orders as per the site requirements.
  • Incident Response: Respond promptly to any security incidents, emergencies, and coordinate with local law enforcement when necessary.
  • Reporting: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all security incidents, activities, and personnel movements within the facility, and notifying your supervisor.
  • Surveillance: Must be able to operate CCTV video footage when required to report incidents.
  • Customer Service: Must be customer service orientated, have good communication skills with the public, maintaining a professional, friendly and compassionate demeanor
  • Training and Development: Coordinate required training for site specific duties needed to complete the job adequately and successfully.

Qualifications

  • Experience:  Experience in security preferred, but training available.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in using security technology and equipment.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks such as patrolling, standing for long periods, and responding to emergencies.

Working Conditions

On Site Security Guards will be required to maintain a safe environment by conducting adequate access control of facilities, and routine interior patrols. This position may require working shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Performance Expectations

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Maintain Vigilance: Stay alert and attentive to all security matters within the facility.
  • Communicate Effectively: Ensure clear and concise communication with staff, and patrons.
  • Act Responsibly: Handle all security incidents with professionalism and discretion.
  • Report all incidents within the facility as soon as possible to assure accurate knowledge and recollection.
