We are seeking a vigilant and reliable Security Guard to monitor and protect our site. This position involves overseeing the site from a designated company vehicle, deterring unauthorized access, safeguarding valuable construction equipment, and ensuring that the premises remain clear of vagarants/trespassers.

A valid Ontario Driver's licence (Class G2 or G) is required in order to qualify for the position.

Responsibilities for Security Guard at the Construction site

  • Monitor the construction site from a company vehicle during assigned shifts.
  • Maintain a visible security presence to deter theft, vandalism, or unauthorized entry.
  • Follow all company policies and site safety protocols.
  • Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
  • Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
  • Conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
  • Control access to secure areas and verify the identities of visitors
  • Collaborate with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies

Qualifications for Security Guard role

  • Be authorized to work in Canada
  • Hold a valid security license
  • First aid certification - required
  • Valid Driver's licence required
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Must be able to remain alert for extended periods and work independently.
  • Strong proficiency with technology
