We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate professional to join our fast paced, business operation focused Hardware Asset Management (HAM) team, with extensive experience using ServiceNow HAM/HAM Pro application. BMO’s HAM practice focuses on inventory management, reporting, and data quality remediation. Designs, develops, tests, implements, measures, and manages processes. Ensures that process design reflects current business strategy and business/stakeholder requirements and supports the desired customer experience.
Responsibilities:
Manage the hardware asset lifecycle of the assigned asset classes / asset types in ServiceNow CMDB (Acquisition, Identification, Deployment, Operation, Decommission, Storage, Dispose)
Implement data governance processes to manage hardware asset inventory in CMDB
Create and maintain ServiceNow reports and Power BI dashboards to monitor and report on CMDB data quality
Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP), process documents, and end user materials
Reconcile the CMDB data with the source data to identify gaps
Perform regular audits to identify discrepancies between the CMDB and the actual IT environment
Ensure CMDB data is complete and accurate, meeting all data quality requirements
Work closely with the asset owners to remediate data quality issues
Support downstream partners consuming data and investigating data anomalies raised
Collaborate with the ITOM team on CMDB and/or ServiceNow workflow enhancements
Lead governance meetings for the assigned asset classes
Act as a trusted HAM advisor in various projects, such as new asset onboarding, new discovery or integration (i.e., ServiceNow, Intune, SCCM,)
Act as a trusted HAM advisor during audits and regulator exams
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of work experience directly related to ServiceNow HAM or HAM Pro (or an equivalent ITAM tool such as BMC Remedy)
Hands on experience with dashboard reporting tool such as Power BI (or Tableau)
Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
Experience creating and managing standard operating procedures (SOP), process documents, and end user materials
Data ownership mindset
Excellent communication skills
Strong pressure management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
HAM Pro certification (or similar certification in ITAM discipline) an asset
