About This Role

                                                                                                         

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Global Logistics Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will lead a team of Traffic Coordination Specialists and Analysts, manage work packages, and oversee freight forwarder and carrier contracts and performance. This role requires a strong background in ground and sea shipments, tariff management, import/export documentation, and a deep understanding of customs and international import/export regulations. The team is responsible for all finished product exportation and transportation to end customers around the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Traffic Coordination Specialists and Analysts.
  • Act as a Work Package Manager, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of logistics projects in time and in respect of allocated budget.
  • Oversee and manage freight forwarder and carrier contracts, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with all customs and international import/export regulations.
  • Manage tariff classification and ensure accurate import/export documentation.
  • Coordinate and oversee ground and sea shipments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize transportation and distribution processes.
  • Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics operations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the logistics team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics management, with a strong background in ground and sea shipments.
  • In-depth knowledge of customs and international import/export regulations.
  • Proven experience in managing freight forwarder and carrier contracts.
  • Strong understanding of tariff classification and import/export documentation.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Professional certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP) ( an asset).
