Salary: $94,220.00 CAD - $174,980.00 CAD
 

We’re looking for a seasoned Senior Business Intelligence Analyst who is passionate about connecting data to business outcomes and crafting compelling stories that inspire action. The ideal candidate possesses a proven track record in analytics and data visualization, excels at transforming complex data into executive-ready insights, and demonstrates a natural curiosity and collaborative spirit. They thrive in an environment that encourages initiative, exploration of new ideas, and driving outcomes with minimal direction.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business leaders to lead the design, development, and execution of critical analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Analyze large and complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that inform strategic decisions.
  • Develop and maintain intuitive, accurate, and timely dashboards and reports using Power BI.
  • Assist with the preparation of executive presentations and reports that clearly communicate performance and strategic opportunities.
  • Act as a strategic thought partner, understanding business needs and translating them into scalable analytics solutions.
  • Collaborate across multi-functional teams, communicating technical findings in a clear, impactful way to both technical and non-technical customers.
  • Use SQL to extract, transform, and analyze data from various sources.
  • Build low-code/no-code automation tools and custom business applications using Power Apps and other Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Keep informed about emerging data technologies, tools, and trends to continuously improve analytics capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or related roles.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with Power BI, SQL, and Power Apps in a business context.
  • Self-starter and ability to independently lead analytics projects from ideation to impact.
  • Strong storytelling skills with the ability to distill complex data into simple, compelling narratives.
  • Demonstrating curiosity, showing a passion for delving into data to uncover root causes and emerging opportunities
  • Superb communication and customer management skills.
  • Solid understanding of financial principles and how data drives operational and strategic decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in finance, accounting, or operations analytics.
  • Experience with Python, DAX, or other sophisticated analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data environments and data governance standard processes.
  • Experience in a large, matrixed organization (e.g., financial services or insurance) is an asset.

Salary range is expected to be between

$94,220.00 CAD - $174,980.00 CAD
