This position is exclusively open to students pursuing a university degree.  

Internship dates: September 2nd to December 19th 2025

The role we are offering you: 

 

By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to edit and proofread highly complex/specialized technical documents or sections of documents such as user guides, test documentation, software design documents, and project plans/documentation for civil as well as defense and security markets. Are you ready to: 

 

  • Edit and/or rewrite content to reflect good grammar as well as person and tense without altering the meaning of author’s original thought, using the level of edit based on requirements. 

  • Ensure document is proofread for content and correct word usage. 

  • Incorporate and/or resolve comments resulting from technical reviews. 

  • Manipulate content into approved CAE templates. 

 

Our ideal candidate has: 

 

  • Knowledge in the different phases of editing 

  • Excellent understanding of word processing and desktop publishing techniques 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite 

  • Excellent French and English oral and written communication skills, with an attention to detail  

  • Ability to work under pressure and to easily flow with change to priorities and projects 

  • Organized, with an ability to manage time and adapt to changing requirements 

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team 

  • Knowledgeable in electrical/electronic, aeronautical, and/or mechanical terminology/phraseology an asset 

  • Knowledge of Technical Writing 

 

Preferred Education 

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Communications, Professional Writing, Journalism, English literature or equivalent 

 

Location of the internship is Montreal. 

 

Internship will be carried out in hybrid mode 

 

*All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP). All hires will be required to complete, sign and return the Controlled Goods Program form within a week of its transmittal. They must also provide a copy of their passport or birth certificate. All students with a work permit must provide a copy of it and a police clearance certificate from the country or countries where they have resided in the past five years.  

 

*Please take note that if you are on a student, work or international student permit, the delays for the security background check take minimum 16 weeks.
