The Oracle Cloud Integration Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing integrations across Oracle ERP/EPM Cloud platforms and Oracle OIC/OCI. This role combines a strong technical foundation with strategic business understanding to deliver scalable solutions aligned with enterprise goals. The architect will guide and mentor development teams, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure alignment with Petco’s Enterprise Reference Architecture.
Translate complex business, information, and technical requirements into architectural blueprints aligned with Petco’s Enterprise Reference Architecture.
Lead architectural planning and development of scalable, reliable integration solutions that span across systems, platforms, and applications.
Collaborate with offshore and nearshore development teams and cloud administrators to execute integration projects and resolve technical challenges.
Engage with business subject matter experts (SMEs), IT stakeholders, and third-party vendors to gather requirements, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure high-quality solutions.
Evaluate current systems, propose enhancements, and design future-state architectures that improve business efficiency and effectiveness.
Define and document technical specifications, including effort estimation and scope for enhancements and bug fixes.
Influence and contribute to strategic application and infrastructure decisions by ensuring technical feasibility and long-term sustainability.
Devise procedures and standards to address system and application limitations, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and business requirements.
Conduct quality assurance reviews for integration projects, and contribute to the ongoing documentation and improvement of development processes and standards.
Coordinate architectural implementation activities and assist in post-deployment optimization and continuous improvement efforts.
Ensure the conceptual completeness and operational readiness of integration solutions.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
7+ years of experience in IT architecture, with 3+ years specifically in Oracle Cloud platforms (ERP/EPM Cloud, OIC, OCI).
Deep understanding of Oracle Integration Cloud patterns, REST/SOAP APIs, and related technologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and act tactically.
Proven experience in leading and mentoring development/support teams in a hybrid delivery model (onshore/offshore).
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred:
Oracle Cloud certifications (e.g., Oracle Integration Cloud Architect, Oracle ERP Cloud Specialist).
Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps tools for cloud deployments.
Background in enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.).
