Agilus is recruiting for a Mechanical Piping Designer in the engineering, procurement consulting industry in a hybrid work environment in Burlington, Ontario. Our client is seeking a Mechanical Piping Designer to join their team in Burlington. This is a hybrid work environment - 3 days in office / 2 days remote. This role will be focused on Industrial and Infrastructure projects. A typical day: Progressive experience with detailed industrial piping systems Preparation of piping isometrics, line lists, and material take-offs. Experience in the preparation of mechanical equipment layouts and general arrangement plans and sections. Preparation of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams. Knowledge of material specifications and standards. Field experience safely obtaining existing site information regarding pipe routing, arrangements, supports, and sizes to develop background drawings with limited assistance. Successful candidates will have: 10 - 20 years of piping design experience within a consulting engineering firm working on industrial and/or chemical plant projects. Diploma, Engineering Design and Drafting Technology (Process Piping Major) or a Process Piping Drafting Certificate Strong communication skills - client facing.
