Agilus is recruiting for a Intermediate to Senior Project Manager in the EPCM in a hybrid work environment in Calgary, Alberta.
Our client is seeking a results-driven Project Manager to lead and oversee the successful execution of assigned projects. This role is responsible for managing project scope, budget, and schedule while fostering strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders. The Project Manager will guide and support project teams across one or more client accounts, ensuring the delivery of key engineering outputs such as construction deliverables and material requisitions.
A typical day:
Lead and Mentor Teams: Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to project team members while fostering open communication, ethical conduct, and sound decision-making across all levels.
Project Planning & Execution: Develop and maintain Project Execution Plans (PEPs), manage contracts and agreements, and ensure accurate documentation and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Schedule & Budget Oversight: Oversee project budgets and schedules, ensuring alignment with performance goals, managing deadlines, and proactively addressing cost or timeline conflicts.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams through regular meetings, feedback loops, and collaborative problem-solving.
EH&S Compliance: Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring engineering designs meet regulatory and industry standards, and by demonstrating a commitment to EH&S best practices.
Technical Expertise: Apply deep knowledge of engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning practices; participate in technical reviews (e.g., HAZOPs, PHAs), and support change management and reporting.
Quality Assurance: Uphold quality standards by maintaining documentation, supporting audits, and contributing to continuous improvement through NCRs, CARs, and process evaluations.
Corporate Alignment: Ensure all project activities align with the company’s mission to deliver safe, high-quality, and cost-effective solutions, while adhering to internal best practices and procedures.
Successful candidates will have:
Professional Engineer sanctioned by APEGA.
8 - 15 years of related experience with a strong preference to candidates who have prior field experience.
Successfully delivered a diverse range of full-cycle projects, including plant phase developments, offsite facilities, and operations-focused initiatives.
