We are seeking a highly experienced Senior PeopleSoft Technical Consultant to support a major initiative at a leading Ontario-based university. This role involves deployment of PeopleSoft updates, database migrations, and decommissioning of legacy systems associated with PeopleSoft. The engagement is expected to last approximately 6 months, with the potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the deployment of PeopleSoft updates and upgrades.

  • Execute database migrations and ensure data integrity and minimal downtime.

  • Decommission legacy systems related to PeopleSoft in a structured and documented manner.

  • Ensure environment refreshes and maintain consistency between production and non-production systems.

  • Perform patching and vulnerability management to uphold system security.

  • Deliver clear, high-quality documentation and technical presentations to senior IT stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience managing and implementing PeopleSoft environments.

  • Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft applications, PeopleTools, and related infrastructure.

  • Demonstrated success in leading 3+ large-scale PeopleSoft upgrades/migrations.

  • Strong expertise in database administration and disaster recovery (e.g., Oracle Data Guard).

  • Proficient in MS Project for creating and managing integrated project plans.

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in remote settings.

  • Certifications in PeopleSoft, Oracle, and IT Security considered strong assets.
