Our client, a leading provincial regulatory body,  is seeking a Manager of Compliance to lead a high-performing team in Toronto.

In this dynamic hybrid leadership role, you will lead compliance operations, support regulatory enforcement efforts, and shape market intelligence strategies to proactively identify to proactively manage risk across Ontario’s regulated community.


This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker with a strong background in compliance, environmental regulations, stakeholder engagement, and operational leadership to make a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities: 
  • Lead the daily operations and performance of a team of Senior Compliance Officers.
  • Develop and implement risk-based compliance plans and procedures.
  • Monitor key industry trends and marketplace activity to inform regulatory strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations under related legislation.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development support to compliance staff.
  • Collaborate  with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure efficient program delivery.
  • Engage with regulated entities to support education, compliance guidance, and enforcement.
  • Contribute to organizational strategies on burden reduction, harmonization, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in a regulatory compliance or environmental services role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5+ years of people management and team leadership experience, ideally within a public sector or regulatory context.
  • Demonstrated success leading compliance operations and risk-based organizational decision-making.
  • A strong grasp of sustainability best practices and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) policies and programs.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.
