Reporting to the Director, Network PMO, the Sr. Manager of Wireline Delivery Program Management leads a team of professional Program Managers that is accountable for ensuring that all activities for in-year Wireline programs are executed in time for successful delivery. Such activities include scope prioritization, progress monitoring and reporting, risk identification and mitigation planning. 


This role requires extensive collaboration across a matrixed organization, including national planning, procurement, and regional planning, engineering, implementation and go to market teams. As a result, the Sr. Manager must be able to influence decisions like the assignment of critical resources and prioritize and drive activities that will result in the successful delivery of the various programs managed. The goal of this Manager’s team is to ensure that capital allocated for Wireline programs is managed efficiently and delivers the organization’s objectives.  We’re looking for a self-starting innovative leader who isn’t afraid to challenge BAU thinking and loves developing and motivating highly engaged teams to drive results.

 

Location:  We are open to hire for our Calgary, Vancouver, Halifax, Montreal, Fredericton or Greater Toronto Area Location.

 

What you’ll do: 

  • Drive the delivery of various wireline programs to conclusion on time and on budget
  • Maintain a clear communication plan to relevant stakeholders, including Sr. Leadership
  • Proactively identify risk to successful program delivery and ensure proper mitigation plans are in place to overcome such risks, govern in-year data integrity
  • Manage inter-regional and inter-program priorities, collaborate with stakeholders to manage deviations from POR, ensure compliance to a change process
  • Drive alignment and strong collaboration with key interlock partners, including within the Network organization and with other business units 
  • Provide in year progress for insight to planning teams for future year strategic plans
  • Monitor program budgets, forecasts and unitary costs to plan
  • Inspire and enable talent within the overall team and promote employee engagement across the organization while focusing on a positive team culture

 

What you bring: 

  • 5+ years of working in the telecommunications industry, with preference for wireline network experience
  • 2+ years of working in a management position, preferably leading within a large organization especially in a PMO 
  • Extensive experience with successfully driving completion of large, multi-stakeholder, complex implementation programs
  • Excellent presentation & communications skills, with experience presenting to senior executives
  • Demonstrated business & financial acumen
  • Strategic thinker who can translate complex plans into actionable steps
  • A strong collaborator that can influence process transformations
  • An inclusive team leader that advocates for diversity and inclusion within the team
  • Passionate about making a difference and leading transformations that will bring positive change to the business
  • Focused on continuous process improvement and innovative problem solving.
