Agilus is recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor in the Manufacturing industry in Windsor, Ontario.
The Maintenance Supervisor oversees and coordinates the upkeep of physical structures, ensuring that buildings, equipment, and systems are well-maintained and operational. They manage maintenance staff, schedule repairs, and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the efficient functioning of facilities.
A typical day:
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of all facility and process equipment, including but not limited to: fire protection systems (e.g., sprinklers, pumps, storage tanks); mechanical systems (e.g., chillers, air compressors, hot water and hot oil boilers); HVAC systems (including BCU, FCU, DHU, AHU, and RTU units); process systems (such as solvent recovery units, central electrolyte storage, dust, fume, and scrap collectors, and activated carbon towers); and electrical infrastructure, including power distribution systems ranging from 30kV to 208V
The scope of responsibility encompasses all facility-related equipment located within the production building, assembly building, and utility support structures
Maintain and create a positive and safe working environment and ensure all reports are working to high standard
Plan and prioritize work orders, scheduling, overall repairs, and maintenance to minimize facility downtime and disruptions and
implement methodologies to improve operational effectiveness in compliance with regulatory codes and standards
Assist to lead the integration of contractor partners and equipment providing support to the plant force
Create incident reports, safety alerts, and safety training for direct reports and contractors
Assist in effective spare parts management, parts orders, and organizational changes
Successful candidates will have:
Possess a Journeyman ticket (electrician or millwright license); Certified Engineering Technician/Technologist or Facilities Management Professional designation is an asset
Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance supervision
Experienced with operations and maintenance of HVAC systems, Dehumidification, Chillers, Air Compressors, Boilers, Pumps, Piping, power distribution etc.
Experience in property and building maintenance, repairs, renovations and equipment modifications covering structural, electrical and mechanical systems
Strong knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act and building codes with ability to read and understand drawings
Legally authorized to work in Canada
